How do you charge?
We charge per piece for receiving, picking and packing. Large orders are
typically billed at a discount. If we supply your boxes, we will bill
for those as well. Charges for finishing and value-added services are
billed when completed. All invoices are clearly itemized. Every one of
our customers is a little different, and we will customize charges to
your type of business. Call us for a quote!
How often will I be
billed?
We bill for shipping and receiving every day that we ship or receive for
you. Storage fees are billed monthly.
What are your terms?
Since our services are primarily labor, our terms are net 7 days.

Is there a
contract?
Yes, we will give you a contract with clearly defined prices covering
a specific period of time. If you require any additional services not
included in the contract, we will advise you of the price before the work
is done. We aim for no surprises!
How can I send you
my pick tickets?
A number of ways. You can connect to our printer via a dial-up or internet
connection (called a virtual private network) and print them out. You
can email them to us in PDF and other formats, or you can mail or fax
them to us. If we print them, we will use three-part paper and send you
a copy when we complete the order. If you mail them to us, please send
them in triplicate.
Do you require
pick tickets, or can I send customer invoices instead?
We can use anything you want, as long as it clearly states the customer's
name and address, the items to be shipped, and the shipping method to
use. We can also put return forms and marketing collateral in the box
if you want us to.
Can you use special
boxes or labels?
Yes, many of our customers have boxes with their logo, or a special label
they like to use. We can order your boxes directly from your supplier
to save you the hassle. If you don't have a special box but would like
one, talk to us first. We have a great deal of expertise on the subject,
and can suggest solutions that will cover most of your shipping needs.
If you don't have a special box, we stock many different kinds of plain
shipping boxes and can select the best one for each shipment.

Do you
specialize in hanging or flat-packed garments?
We have racks and shelves designed specifically for both. In fact, goods
on hangers can come off the truck, ride up a hanging conveyor to the appropriate
floor, and be put away without ever being taken off their trolley! This
makes us very fast.
Do you take other
products?
Yes, we can take most sewn products and soft goods. We would not take
very large items, like mattresses or heavy equipment.
Can you
receive container loads?
Yes. And LTL shipments, pallets, boxes, envelopes, bags out of the trunk
of your car...We've never had anyone deliver anything by wheelbarrow,
but we'd figure it out!
How big is your warehouse?
We own a block-long, five-story mill building. We can process thousands
of receipts and shipments a day. We can help you analyze your production
and shipping schedules to determine when you will need the most space,
and we will make sure we can accomodate you. We don't take on new customers
unless we know we can handle them!
Can you inspect
incoming shipments?
Yes, we recommend it. We will give you a quote for inspections based on
the sample size you want inspected and how you want us to handle rejects.
Since we have our own production facility, we can also repair, alter or
simply press failing garments to return them to first-quality condition.

Can you handle
returns?
Yes, we will inspect returns and advise you as to whether they can be
repaired or cleaned and returned to stock, relegated to seconds, or disposed
of.
Do you
ship to individuals or residences?
Yes, we can ship to anyone. Keep in mind that UPS won't ship to a PO box,
and some shipping comapnies charge more to deliver to a residence.
What shipping
comapnies do you use?
Many of our shipments go out UPS or FedEx, but we also regularly use the
US Postal Service and freight carriers. If your vendor manual specifies
a particular trucking company, we will use them.
Can you do
physical inventory counts?
Yes, we can do complete inventories or periodic spot-checks. Please note
that there may be an additional labor charge for this. If you expect to
do frequent inventory counts, let us know when we are writing your contract--we
can include it in the price quotes.

Do you require
bar coding?
No, but if you use it, we can scan it. This especially saves time when
receiving goods.
Can
you follow vendor manual requirements?
Yes--just give us the manuals and we will follow the rules. If you need
special labels, we can add them to your packaging, too. In many cases,
we can produce special labels ourselves, but there is an additional charge.
What are your hours
of operation?
Typically, the warehouse is open from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM eastern standard
time. If you know that a shipment will be delivered off-hours, let us
know ahead of time and we will arrange to be here.
Do you own your facility?
We own the building and the property it is on.
